The ASGA unites sugarbeet growers in the United States and promotes the common interest of state and regional beet grower associations, which include legislative and international representation and public relations. ASGA member organizations represent 10,000 family farmers in all 11 sugarbeet producing states (California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming.)
The RRVSGA was formally incorporated in 1954. Since then, the purpose of this organization has been to help improve the sugar industry in the Red River Valley of North Dakota and Minnesota. The RRVSGA represents over 2,750 growers, raising sugarbeets over 450,000 acres and delivering those beets to five factories up and down the Red River Valley.
The American Sugar Alliance is a national coalition of sugarcane and sugar beet producers, including sugar farmers, sugar processors, sugar refiners, sugar suppliers, sugar workers and others dedicated to preserving a strong U.S. sugar industry. The American Sugar Alliance works to ensure that sugar farmers and workers in the U.S. sugar industry survive in a world of heavily subsidized sugar.
American Crystal Sugar Company is an agricultural cooperative corporation owned by approximately 2,800 sugarbeet growers in the Minnesota and North Dakota areas of the Red River Valley.
